There is a scene out there, there are people who know, there is a lot of love for hip hop in Lexington. We just need a place to go. With the Dame closing in the near future there are fewer and fewer of these places in Lexington. What's more, the core of Lexington's hip hop base comes from the university, meaning that a large part of the hip hop scene is made up of apathetic transient students who can't be expected to take the first steps towards solidifying the Lexington Hip Hop Community. No, those of us who live and work in Lexington have to take the first steps. But without a physical place to go we have to gather on the abstract plane of the internet. That's why LexingtonHipHop.com exists.
