C-RAYZ WALZ
Every once in a while an MC emerges who profoundly alters the landscape of hip hop. Big Daddy Kane. Rakim. Chuck D. Ice Cube. Jeru. Biggie Smalls. ODB. Eminem. It's time to make room for another name on that list. Straight out of that boogie-down borough where it all started, C-Rayz Walz comes heavily armed on each of his releases, this prolific MC shows why he’s known in all circles as one of the world’s best, a fact that earned him a starring role in a recent episode of MTV’s Made, where Walz tutuored a high school student on the art of freestyling.

MUDKIDS

Mudkids have been a part of the independent rap scene for nearly a decade. Forming in 1997, Tyler and Russ began recording their first demos in Bloomington, IN. The group started playing shows in their hometown of Indianapolis with Skitts joining the group circa '98. Indiana is not exactly the hip-hop capitol of the world, but the 'Kids perseverd and haven't had problems maintining a well-earned reputation as one of THE acts-to-see in the Midwest. The live show is one of constant movement and change, going from freestyles to Mudkid classsics to covers in no time flat. An audience and critical favorite for years, the group has three albums ("4trackmind", "Upward", and "Higher") previous to the just released 4th ("Basementality"). This is a group that will make you believe in hip-hop again. (~from www.myspace.com/mudkids)

MYKRAPHONE MIKE

The hardest working man in Central Kentucky. During the day he's the mild-mannered voice of the Lexington Legends, but when the sun goes down he hits the ones and twos, transforming into Lexington DJ extraordinaire Mykraphone Mike. He's shared the stage with Blackalicious, KRS-One, Wordsmiths, Witchdoctor, Fatlip of the Pharcyde, CunninLynguists, Pack FM, Pigeon John, and Aesop Rock. When he spins you remember why hip hop matters.
